The Problem:
The homeowner wanted to transform the end of their below-ground basement into a functional, beautiful walk-out patio. The project called for deep excavation, grading, proper patio base grading, wall footings, and careful attention to site drainage. Because of the sloped terrain and potential water flow issues, stormwater direction and water redirection became part of the challenge.

The Solution:
Alpine Services stepped in with innovative solutions. Using our mini-excavator rental with operator, we carefully evaluated the site, calculated the necessary excavation depth, and removed soil to the appropriate undercut. We then established a strong and level base for both the paver patio and the interlocking block walls. Our team also addressed site drainage evaluation and installed stormwater interception systems to ensure water would be directed away from the foundation.

 

The Result:
The base was finish-graded and left ready for final paver and wall block installation. Our drainage plan, custom-designed for the landscape, was implemented before winter set in—preventing future water issues and giving the homeowner peace of mind.
